Verification Engineer

We’re looking for a Verification Engineer to join the Mechanical Design Team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

• As part of the Mechanical Design team you will work directly with engineers, suppliers and CM’s to ensure components and sub-assemblies are manufactured to specification dimensionally.

• Own the relationship between design teams, suppliers and CM’s to ensure they have the capability and processes to meet part & assembly technical specifications. This will include international travel to Suppliers & CM’s sites included in Snap’s global supply chain 

• Work closely with other teams to gather relevant information and share your knowledge about the parts & assemblies to further improve requirements and specifications, including providing vital feedback from the suppliers and CM’s

• Work directly with suppliers and CM’s to assess, monitor and improve Measurement SOP’s, SOP’s and engineering competencies

• Bridge the gap between Mechanical Design, Global Supply Chain and Quality to ensure parts can be manufactured, measured and delivered to Snap’s specifications and requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• An expert in Metrology process improvement, CMM programming and the technical requirements of measurements systems.

• An expert in ASME & ISO drawings, GD&T, FAI & SPC dimensioning and process control

• Appreciation of consumer goods component manufacturing methods such as injection molding, machining, including optical components

• Experience producing and manipulating measurement data sets and presenting to peers and management

• Strong background in Mechanical engineering

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Degree in relevant engineering or scientific subject 

• Qualification and/or significant experience in dimensional Metrology 

Preferred Qualifications/experience:

• Recognised Metrology Certification / Qualification

• Six Sigma certification

We offer a competitive salary range £70,000 - £88,000  which is commensurate with your qualifications and experience and the level of this role. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs. Our compensation philosophy is designed to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
