We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Snap Lab team!

 

What you’ll do:


You will provide leadership, technical expertise, and support to develop and maintain the Quality System consistent with Snap Labs’ business requirements.  You will improve the Quality System performance to meet business needs and expectations, and promote and support business and manufacturing system development.  Your focus will deliver meaningful and beneficial incremental improvements to product quality, yield, and cost for the business.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  •  Manage the Quality System in accordance with ISO9001:2015 accreditation.

  • Lead and co-ordinate the internal quality audit activity.

  • Monitor and analyze the Quality System performance, through various Key Process Indicators, to identify areas for improvement, and take appropriate action where necessary.

  • Ensure that required documentation exists, and is regularly reviewed, to ensure operations are working within company policy and process specification.

  • Develop product and process improvement methodologies and systems in-line with business demands.

  • Implement, develop, and maintain key quality systems in line with business requirements, such as Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, ESD Control Program, Material Review Board, Change Control, and Problem Solving Methods.

  • Developing and maintaining a framework and associated processes / procedures to ensure quality standards and manufacturing controls are defined and maintained in relation to all in-house manufacturing processes.Coordinate corrective and preventive actions arising from non-conforming product, process, or system events.

  • Establish,  and validate and manage the  incoming, in process and outgoing  quality controlIPQC and OQC requirements and inspections for manufacturing operations.

  • Promote Continuous Improvement methodologies.

  • Act as a focal point/resource, provide training and support to ensure knowledge is disseminated throughout the organization.

  • Lead quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during manufacturing, and drive issues to closure.

  • Work across functions to identify and implement necessary systemic improvements.

  • Monitor and analyze supplier quality performance; initiate and manage corrective actions when necessary.

  • Manage process and system audits at suppliers, assess risk, and implement improvement and verification plans.

  • Develop and review the key quality performance measures of suppliers.

  • Establish and validate IQC requirements for key components.

  • Support the qualification of new materials, or changes to existing materials.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills supported by experience of coordinating controlled experiments to assist in areas like failure and yield analysis.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or optical engineering or physical sciences. 

  • 3+ years’ Quality Engineering experience in a high volume manufacturing environment within the electronics, microelectronics, optics, or automotive industries.

  • Experience in yield analysis and improvement.

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of liquid crystal display systems

  • Familiarity with optics, image acquisition, and image processing

  • Display experience in LCoS, OLED, LCD, DLP, etc.

  • Qualified ISO9000 series Auditor

  • Experience in the implementation of, and accreditation to, ISO9001:2015

  • Able to generate clear and concise technical reports.

  • Hands-on experience with test equipment and data acquisition.

  • Sound knowledge of quality and documentation systems, from both an improvement and implementation perspective.

  • Demonstrated competence with quality tools (Design of Experiments, SPC, Cause & Effect, FMEA, Gauge R&R).

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $138,000-$207,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $131,000-$197,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $117,000-$176,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
