We’re looking for a Security Technology Technical Program Manager to join IT Infrastructure Engineering at Snap Inc!
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Engineering, you will lead the project, operations, and program management of global security technology initiatives, with a focus on physical security systems including access control, video management, and intrusion detection. You will collaborate with IT, Workplace Experience, Global Security and other departments to deliver innovative hardware and software solutions, enhancing global security technology operations through improved efficiency and effectiveness. You will:
Manage global security technology solution projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery using internal and external resources.
Support global facilities projects for new, relocated, and tenant improvement projects requiring security technology system enhancements.
Participate in the development and management of project schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
Prepare project initiation documents (time, cost, and scope estimates) for approval.
Participate in tracking and presenting project status summaries to key stakeholders.
Identify, present, and manage project risks and issues, escalating as needed.
Gather requirements and provide security technology system enhancement recommendations to local office management.
Ensure project delivery complies with security technology standards.
Perform testing for security technology system upgrades, enhancements, and rollouts.
Participate in the development and management of a standardized program for implementing and maintaining PACS, IP Video Management, and other physical security technology systems.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the security technology programs and propose solutions.
Review current processes and implement a standard project management methodology.
Promote the adoption of program management standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong technical skills in access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems, with a practical understanding of Lenel architecture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
Proven ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient in Google Workspace tools and functionality.
Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to adapt to new technologies and information.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Experience managing budgets and meeting financial commitments.
Ability to create educational content and build awareness.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex organizational environments.
Capable of walking long distances, ascending/descending stairs/ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and carrying/lifting 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Computer Science or comparable technical qualifications
5+ years working with physical security systems in both domestic and international markets
Willingness to work non-traditional hours and a modified work schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience managing and implementing a variety of physical security technologies, including access control, video management, and intrusion detection systems.
Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new security technologies and software platforms.
Experience working in a global, cross-functional team environment.
Strong understanding of network technologies and IT infrastructure.
Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with process improvement and standardization.
Familiarity with data analysis and reporting.
Experience with the Google suite and Microsoft office products.
