We’re looking for a Director, HR APAC  to join the People Team! 

What you’ll do:

  • Set the APAC HR team’s mission and strategy. Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs for APAC. 

  • Develop and implement a talent strategy for Snap’s operation in APAC, including new strategies to develop and enhance the diverse set of talent across the region and talent programs and processes that compliment Snap’s overall strategy, building a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and performance.

  • Partner with and support senior regional executives and country managers, building professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensuring that internal clients have access to high-quality advice and direction to support in delivering business strategy and plans.

  • Develop HR frameworks and tools, ensuring that these meet business needs, align with internal programs and practices, and reflect customs, norms, and regulations in the operating region you support.

  • Build, manage, and inspire high performance in your team and across Snap; set stretch performance objectives for team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; inspire high levels of impact.

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders, including Finance, Employment Legal and Compliance to help inform their roadmap, manage risk and ensure operational rigor across the region. 

  • Partner with People Team functions including People Tech, Total Rewards, People Analytics, L&D, and DEI to ensure regional requirements are factored into roadmaps and delivered.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • HR Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in key HR areas such as talent management, organizational design, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, and diversity and inclusion., enhancing our values and supporting the needs of the business to reach its objectives. 

  • Collaboration: Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. This includes maintaining dotted line relationships with other People functions in the region to ensure seamless, integrated delivery of People services. Collaborate deeply with functions across the region to ensure that the team’s priorities are in line with the business. 

  • Regional Knowledge: Knows the nuances of the region or has experience working in international locations for a US-based company. Is able to quickly understand regional requirements and synthesize where required. 

  • Optimizes Work Processes: Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on deploying local expertise and driving continuous improvement. 

  • Develops Talent: Develops people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals and provides frameworks and facilitations that enables others to do so as well. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Management, or related field or equivalent years of experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting, talent management or related role for a multi-national company 

  • 5+ yrs experience in an international human resources, recruiting, talent management or related role for a multi-national company

  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role, with experience leading large complex teams with regional or global scale. Experience working in a matrix environment preferred

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Management, Education or similar.

  • Experience with M&A and integration and global expansion

  • Experience with high growth technology or field-related companies
