Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.

The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.

We’re looking for an experienced Communications Manager to advance communications for Lens Studio and Snap’s augmented reality ecosystem. This role calls for deep knowledge of the tech industry and strong media instincts, with additional support across Snapchat and Spectacles product initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Drive proactive product communications initiatives across Snapchat, Spectacles, and Lens Studio that amplify Snap’s augmented reality and platform innovation efforts.

  • Develop and execute storytelling programs that spotlight creators and third-party developers building experiences across Snapchat and Spectacles.

  • Pitch stories across technology, mainstream, consumer, business, and hardware media to support key announcements and ongoing product momentum.

  • Draft clear, compelling press releases, newsroom posts, messaging documents, and media materials that communicate product updates and milestones.

  • Organize press briefings and demonstrations, and prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements.

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional partners (product, design, marketing, legal, policy, partnerships, and developer relations) on coordinated campaigns, events, and product launches.

  • Partner with agency teams to support media strategy and execution.

  • Work across the Communications team to measure impact, track coverage, and refine strategies based on performance and insights.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent relationships with reporters across mainstream, technology, consumer, business, and hardware beats, including the ability to shape and manage complex platform and product stories.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and manage a wide variety of partners.

  • An eloquent verbal communicator with superb written skills and fastidious attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting consumer technology product launches.

  • Experience supporting platform services, developer ecosystems, or creator communities is highly desirable.

  • Strong interest in augmented reality and artificial intelligence; direct experience in these areas is preferred.

  • Experience partnering with global teams to support coordinated communications efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.

  • 8+ years of professional experience working in a product communications role or related field.

  • Experience supporting subscription-based consumer services and/or consumer product reviews programs.
