Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.
The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap. Our designers, data scientists, and product managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that unite our community in new and unique ways.
We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager, Growth – SEO to join our Product team at Snap Inc.!
What you'll do:
Develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for high‑impact SEO growth areas across logged out web surfaces, including topic and content pages, creator and profile experiences, and entry points that connect search traffic into core Snapchat use cases.
Own the end‑to‑end organic acquisition and reactivation funnel from search impression to DAU, defining and tracking KPIs such as unbranded search traffic, index coverage, click‑through rates, time spent and conversion to new and returning active users.
Partner closely with cross‑functional teams to scale content labeling, retrieval, ranking, and experimentation systems that power SEO.
Build alignment across the company on the SEO vision and roadmap with senior leadership and executives, as well as partners in Product, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, Finance, and other growth channels.
Use data insights, user research, competitive analysis, and design thinking to continuously identify, size, and prioritize new SEO opportunities that materially improve organic traffic and MAU.
Drive the team’s roadmaps and execution end‑to‑end — from strategy and planning to PRDs, design, technical implementation, experimentation, and launch — authoring clear documentation and sharing results and learnings across Snap.
Ensure SEO investments balance short‑term traffic wins with building a durable, scalable technical foundation that can support 10–50x growth in pages and traffic over time.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Deep understanding of search engine optimization, including technical SEO (crawlability, indexability, site architecture, performance), content strategy, and offsite/link‑building practices.
Experience with web and mobile app architecture and how it intersects with SEO, including CDNs, rendering strategies, and structured data.
Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other industry‑standard platforms, along with experimentation frameworks and funnel analysis.
Highly impact‑focused, with a demonstrated history of leading teams to deliver concrete, measurable results on growth or SEO‑related metrics at massive scale.
Extremely proactive, with a track record of initiating and driving complex cross‑functional projects with minimal guidance.
Ability to think creatively and approach problems with system‑level thinking, especially in large‑scale content, ranking, and growth systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
8+ years of product management experience at a consumer or enterprise technology company.
3+ years of domain experience working on growth and/or SEO in a product management role.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of domain experience working on growth, SEO, or adjacent acquisition channels (e.g., app store optimization, content discovery) in a product management role.
Hands‑on experience with data analysis (e.g., SQL, BigQuery, Looker) to evaluate ROI of growth and SEO initiatives at scale.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience working on large‑scale content, search, or recommendations systems, ideally in consumer social, UGC, or media products.
