Supply Quality Engineer

Snap Lab is home to our hardware products with a world-class research & development team.
We are focused on pushing the boundaries of what a camera can be, specifically overlaying
computing on the real world. Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring
augmented reality to life.

We are seeking a supplier optical quality engineer to join the Spectacles team!

What You’ll do:
● Identify and resolve component quality issues.
● Collaborate with Snap suppliers on DFM and lead FAI, Cpk, MSOP, MSA, reliability
testing, and Ok2Ship readiness.
● Align and standardize inspection criteria with suppliers; establish limit samples when
needed.
● Manage component qualification through the PPAP process.
● Address material-related issues, implement mitigation plans, and drive RCCA with
suppliers.
● Improve supplier yield, outgoing quality, and reliability; maintain quality reports.
● Conduct supplier quality and production audits.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Strong understanding of GD&T, OMM, and CMM metrology.
● Skilled in designing and validating measurement fixtures and inspection gauges.
● Proficient in sampling plans, PFMEA, IPQC, OQC, FAI, Cpk, MDOP, and MSA.
● Expert in root cause analysis, Six Sigma, SPC, and quality tools.
● Proficient with JMP or Minitab.

● Experienced in reliability tests (e.g. environment tests, drop/tumble, UV, chemical,
abrasion...etc.).
● Experienced in supplier assessment, management, and audit.
● Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Detail-oriented and self-motivated team player.

Minimum Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or
related field.
● 5+ years of experience in supplier quality for mechanical and electromechanical
components.
● Hands-on experience with OMM, CMM, and component reliability testing.
● Proficient in data analysis tools like JMP, Minitab.
● Fluent in Mandarin and English.
● Familiar with Six Sigma or other statistical methods.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Metrology, Mechanical, Optical, Electromechanical,
or Quality).
● 10+ years in component quality control.
● Experience with CMM, OMM, and other measurement instruments.
● Metrology certifications and advanced GD&T knowledge.
● Experienced in common manufacturing processes ( e.g. injection molding, decoration,
CNC, welding, gluing, etc.).
● Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certified.
● Global collaboration experience.
● Skilled in Python or AI-based data analysis.
