Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.
The Team
The Spectacles Product Partnerships team is responsible for ensuring that Snap’s most strategic partners can successfully build on our next-generation hardware. While the broader AR Platform team sets the global ecosystem strategy, our team executes on "first-of-their-kind" integrations. We work at the intersection of Snap Lab (Hardware), Camera Platform (Software), and external innovation to prove what is possible on Spectacles.
The Role
We are looking for a Spectacles Product Partnerships Lead to lead the technical and operational lifecycle of our priority partner integrations.
In this role, you will be the "product owner" of the partner relationship. You will take high-level ecosystem goals and translate them into successful, launched products. You will not only manage complex technical integrations but also operationalize the playbook for how partners interact with our evolving hardware and AI capabilities. You will be the boots-on-the-ground expert who feeds critical insights back into the Strategy and Product teams to shape the future of the platform.
What You’ll Do
Orchestrate Complex Integrations: Lead the end-to-end execution of priority partner projects. You will be the primary point of contact for external technical teams, helping them navigate Snap’s SDKs, APIs, and hardware limitations from concept to launch.
Operationalize Partner Success: Move beyond one-off support. You will build the systems, documentation, and processes that allow us to scale partner onboarding and technical support efficiently as the ecosystem grows.
Bridge Product, Engineering & Strategy: Act as the translation layer between external partners and internal teams (Snap Lab, Lens Studio, Camera Platform). You will convert partner friction points into clear engineering requirements and strategic recommendations.
Evaluate Emerging Tech: Assess the technical feasibility of new partner concepts. You will determine if a partner’s proposed use of Generative AI or Computer Vision is realistic on a wearable device, helping them optimize for performance, latency, and battery life.
Feedback Loop & Advocacy: utilizing your direct view of partner development, you will build business cases for new platform features. You will analyze what makes partners successful (or stuck) and present those findings to leadership to influence the roadmap.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical Fluency: You can speak the language of engineers. You are comfortable discussing API structures, hardware constraints, and software development lifecycles without needing to write the code yourself.
Operational Mindset: You don't just solve a problem once; you build a process so it doesn't happen again. You are comfortable establishing "best practices" in a chaotic, fast-moving environment.
Modern Tech Literacy: You understand the trade-offs of modern computing (Cloud vs. On-Device, Latency vs. Accuracy) and how AI/LLMs impact hardware performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience working within a matrixed organization (Product, Marketing, Support, Developer Relations). You can align incentives across teams to get partners unblocked.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are comfortable working with ambiguity and can drive results with limited resources.
Hardware Realism: You understand that software runs on physics. You can navigate the constraints of mobile/wearable chipsets and help partners optimize their experiences.
Product Instinct: You can distinguish between a "nice-to-have" partner request and a "critical-path" platform requirement.
High EQ & Diplomacy: Experience managing high-stakes relationships, capable of aligning external incentives with Snap’s product goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
6+ years of experience in Product Partnerships, Partner Engineering, Technical Program Management, or Product Management.
Experience in AR/VR, hardware, or spatial computing.
Demonstrated experience managing technical integrations involving AI, ML, or complex data pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AR/VR/XR or working with 3D engines (Unity, Unreal, Lens Studio).
Experience working with Snap Lab or similar hardware product divisions.
Familiarity with the Generative AI landscape (LLMs, diffusion models) and how they integrate into consumer products.
Track record of defining and operationalizing new partnership models in a 0-to-1 environment.
