We’re looking for an HR Manager to cover our mainland China and Taiwan businesses and be part of our APAC People Team who will autonomously lead the day-to-day design and execution of HR strategies, programs, policies, and business member needs. Oversees HR execution for the Beijing, Shenzhen and Taiwan sites and ensures compliance and local adaptation.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Partner: Serves as a strategic partner to the China GM and leadership team.. Partners closely with senior leaders to advise on people decisions, aligning talent strategies with business context and long-term goals. In addition, partners with Leaders outside the region with employees sitting in said locations, as well as supporting various teams which consists of Sales, Engineering, Operations and other Cross-Functions across Beijing, Shenzhen and Taiwan.
Credible Influencer: Influences and builds trust with senior leaders by providing data-driven insights and candid executive coaching on complex people topics, using sound judgment and professionalism and holds a high bar for leadership values and behaviors. Provide counsel and guidance on complex employee matters.
Talent & Org Leader: Drives the talent agenda for an organization, through workforce planning, succession, talent management, team development, change leadership and targeted retention efforts. Integrates with COEs (L&D, IDEA, Council) to tailor solutions that meet business needs.
Talent Developer: Champions peer growth, mentors others, and leads high-impact, cross-functional initiatives while modeling excellence and collaboration.Influence business and talent initiatives that support our short and long-term business goals, including driving practices that enable high performance and operational excellence
Cross-Functional Collaborator: Champions initiatives across teams, securing buy-in from cross-functional partners and COEs, navigating complexity to deliver effective, business-aligned solutions.
Change Enabler: Supports organizational change by building plans, enabling adoption, and coaching leaders through transition. Influence and/or deploy practices to increase employee engagement and satisfaction.
Data-Driven Executor: Leads large programs for HR, and is known for delivering high quality outcomes. Uses data to surface trends, inform decisions, and drive accountability. Brings curiosity, insight, and learning agility to every conversation.
Simplifier: Continues to seek out ways to work more effectively and efficiently and shares those best practices across their team.
Team Contributor & Peer Mentor: Mentors peers by sharing expertise, modeling high standards, and offering constructive feedback. Contributes to a strong HR team culture through collaboration and excellence.
Operational Executor: Delivers timely, scalable solutions that drive team performance and organizational health. Balances strategy with strong execution to meet business demands. Recommend, develop, and implement new HR processes as required to grow the business
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects; demonstrates initiative and manage multiple, competing priorities
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and at times, ambiguous environments
Knowledge of and experience with Snap Inc products, a plus
Experience in HRLDP or similar development program experience
HR experience in a tech start-up or high growth company
Experience designing and deploying HR systems and processes
Experience with core HR domains, including performance management, organizational design, talent management, compensation, and employee relations
Experience influencing and advising executive leadership on talent and employment matters
Experience with people data analytics; ability to influence with data
Knowledge of how to best use AI to drive productivity

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field or equivalent years of experience
8+ years experience in an HR Business Partner role
Periodic travel to other offices (Shenzhen/Taiwan) will be required.
Mandarin required
