Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.
The Spectacles Product Partnerships team is responsible for ensuring that Snap’s most strategic partners can successfully build on our next-generation hardware. While the broader AR Platform team sets the global ecosystem strategy, our team executes on "first-of-their-kind" integrations. We work at the intersection of Snap Lab, Snap OS, and external innovation to push the boundaries of technology and showcase how standalone, see-through AR glasses make playing, learning, and working better together.
We are looking for a Manager, Wearables Product Partnerships to lead the strategic development of our priority partner ecosystem.
In this role, you will be the strategic link between the external world and our internal product teams. You will not just manage relationships; you will shape the Spectacles platform by identifying partners that validate core product hypotheses and drive technical innovation. You will act as a "Product Manager for the Ecosystem," translating partner needs into platform requirements and ensuring that our hardware and software roadmap evolves to support the next generation of AR experiences.
What You’ll Do
Drive Product Strategy through Partnerships: Identify platform gaps and strategic opportunities where external partners can accelerate Spectacles' value proposition. You will define the "partner product strategy" for key verticals like Gaming, Media, or Productivity.
Influence the Product Roadmap: Serve as a core stakeholder in the product development cycle. You will synthesize partner feedback into clear product requirements (PRDs) and advocate for features that unlock new capabilities for the broader developer ecosystem.
Lead Technical Scoping & Execution: defining the technical "contract" between Snap and our partners. You will work with Engineering to assess feasibility, scope complex integrations, and guide partners from initial concept to final launch on Snap OS.
Operationalize Partner Success: Build the systems and playbooks that allow us to scale. You will turn "one-off" custom integrations into repeatable patterns, helping to define the standard SDKs and APIs that future developers will use.
Evaluate Emerging Tech: Assess the technical feasibility of new partner concepts, particularly regarding Generative AI and Computer Vision. You will help partners navigate the trade-offs of wearable hardware (latency vs. battery) and feed these learnings back into our hardware planning teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Product Sense: You understand how products are built and can distinguish between a "nice-to-have" partner request and a "critical-path" platform requirement. You can effectively prioritize features based on ecosystem impact.
Technical Fluency: You can speak the language of engineers. You are comfortable discussing API structures, hardware constraints, and software development lifecycles without needing to write the code yourself.
Strategic Structure: You can take ambiguous goals (e.g., "Grow the fitness ecosystem") and break them down into a concrete acquisition strategy and technical integration plan.
Modern Tech Literacy: You understand the trade-offs of modern computing (Cloud vs. On-Device, Latency vs. Accuracy) and how AI/LLMs impact hardware performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience working within a matrixed organization (Product, Marketing, Support, Developer Relations). You can align incentives across teams to get partners unblocked.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of experience in Product Partnerships, Partner Engineering, Technical Program Management, or Product Management.
Experience influencing product roadmaps and managing technical integrations for hardware, mobile platforms, or developer ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AR/VR/XR or working with 3D engines (Unity, Unreal, Lens Studio).
Experience working with Snap Lab or similar hardware product divisions.
Familiarity with the Generative AI landscape (LLMs, diffusion models) and how they integrate into consumer products.
Track record of defining and operationalizing new partnership models in a 0-to-1 environment.
If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information.
