We’re looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support EHS programs at our Chandler, Arizona facility. This is a site-based, hands-on individual contributor role focused on supporting the execution of Snap’s EHS management systems, ensuring compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local EHS requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture in a technically complex manufacturing and laboratory environment. You will partner closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams including Security, Legal, People, Spectacles, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Workplace Services to help protect our people, facilities, and technologies.
Work Schedule: On-site | Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with flexibility to support occasional nights/weekends and emergency response activities as required.
What you’ll do:
Compliance & Risk Management
Support the implementation and maintenance of the site EHS management system in alignment with Snap corporate policy, ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 framework, and applicable U.S. regulatory requirements.
Partner with EHS leadership and site stakeholders to support compliance with OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and applicable Arizona state and local regulations.
Conduct and support hazard analyses and risk assessments for manufacturing equipment, laboratories, facilities, and new technology introductions.
Support site EHS audits, inspections, and contractor safety oversight activities, ensuring findings are documented and corrective actions are tracked to closure.
Maintain site EHS documentation including regulatory applicability assessments, written programs, and risk registers.
Track, analyze, and report EHS key performance indicators (KPIs)
Hazardous Materials & Manufacturing Safety
Support and administer hazardous materials and hazardous waste management programs, including chemical handling, storage, labeling, and disposal in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
Support manufacturing and hardware laboratory safety programs, including machine safety, electrical safety, laser safety, hazardous gases, and chemical safety.
Partner with engineering, facilities, and vendors to support safe installation, commissioning, and operation of manufacturing tools and equipment.
Support contractor safety programs, including onboarding, permitting, field observations, and safe work practices.
Training, Culture & Engagement
Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors, including regulatory-required and site-specific training.
Promote a proactive safety culture through hazard identification, near-miss reporting, employee engagement, and visible field presence.
Participate in site safety committees and working groups to enhance employee involvement and accountability.
Incident Prevention & Emergency Response
Support incident, near-miss, and injury investigations using root cause analysis techniques and assist in developing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Provide EHS input to strengthen systems and processes to reduce risk and prevent recurrence.
Support emergency preparedness and response programs, including drills, emergency response teams, and coordination with local emergency services.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of U.S. EHS regulatory frameworks, including ADOSH/OSHA, ADEQ and EPA regulations, with practical application in manufacturing or laboratory environments.
Familiarity with hazard communication, hazardous waste management, emergency planning, fire and life safety, machine safety, contractor safety, and industrial hygiene principles.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees and contractors at all levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in an Environmental Health & Safety role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom, laboratory, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Experience supporting EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent.
Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, ASP) or progress toward certification.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $107,000-$161,000 annually.
