The Spectacles team is pushing the boundaries of technology to bring people closer together in the real world. Our fifth-generation Spectacles, powered by Snap OS, showcase how standalone, see-through AR glasses make playing, learning, and working better together.
We are looking for a Quality Technician to join the Spectacles team!
What you’ll do:
As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving product quality standards. You will work closely with the rest of the quality team and wider operations team to ensure compliance with internal quality control procedures. You will be expected to:
Perform quality control inspections on incoming stock, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure they meet established specifications and standards.
Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests on products.
Document and report inspection results, including non-conformances, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
Monitor production processes to identify potential areas for improvement and propose process optimisation strategies.
Participate in internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance to the standard operating procedures.
Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and work instructions.
Complete day to day admin duties.
Set-up and run reliability and qualification tests, managing periodic evaluation and acceptance criteria.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques is advantageous.
Experience conducting inspections and tests using various measuring tools and equipment.
Experience working with optical devices and in clean rooms.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Google Suite and data entry systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Quality Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
A technical qualification in an engineering subject.
Six Sigma awareness / training to Green Belt standard

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base hourly range for this position is $42.78-$63.94 hourly.
