We’re looking for a Research & Insights Lead to join our team for 6 months, based in our Dubai office. The Research & Insights Lead will support the MENA Group Manager and work collaboratively across sales, marketing, comms and creative strategy. In this role, you will work on thought leadership projects, first party audience insights, custom analysis, and joint learning plans to craft insights narratives and provide prescriptive guidance that can strengthen Snapchat's positioning among advertisers in MENA.
What you’ll do:
Work with senior members of the team to manage flawless execution of best-in-class research and industry thought leadership (scoping, RFP, questionnaire development, data checks, analysis, story development, presentation)
Link research methodologies and survey questions to larger business strategies
Partner with external agencies and elevate the output of research by providing clear, sound and strategic feedback
Communicate complex audience and ads research results to internal and external audiences (research partners, agencies, internal stakeholders), through co-development of written decks or blogs and presentations
Work with cross functional partners both internally and external on go-to-market planning for completed research
Explore hypothesis using first party data related to causal and observational research
Identify novel techniques for data analysis, questioning and visualizing and in some cases, innovative partners to work with
Present your work to audiences of all levels across the organization internally and externally
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have
Previous experience in both quantitative and qualitative research is a must
Deep understanding of the GCC region (especially KSA) and its consumer trends is mandatory.
Ability to structure and conduct analysis to generate insight and recommendations beyond superficial data reporting
Previous experience in leading regional consumer research, with a clear distinction between different GCC countries
Clear and concise communication; comfortable with presenting insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
Excellent command of English / ability to co-draft white papers
Advantageous to have
A solid understanding of Snapchat and the digital advertising ecosystem
Interest in advanced analytics, data interrogation and storytelling
Fluency in Arabic is a significant plus.
We're looking for candidates who can start immediately or within one month.
Exposure to media planning and measurement is a plus
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or business field or economics or mathematics or equivalent years of experience
7+ years of experience working with first party audience and consumer or ads research at a leading ad platform, agency, or research firm
Experience with executing research including questionnaire development, analysis and supporting development of thought leadership
Extensive experience with GCC consumer and markets
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in business, marketing psychology, sociology or a related field
Great presentation skills
Passion for the Snapchat platform and interest in emerging AR technologies!
Beginner - Intermediate SQL experience or knowledge - Ability to extract data and analyse extracted data set is preferable
