The Law Enforcement Operations ("LEO") team are digital first-responders protecting Snapchatters and the public at-large. The team handles all global law enforcement requests for user data, and responds to these requests as legally permissible and consistent with Snap policies, while simultaneously safeguarding the privacy rights of our users.
We're looking for a Law Enforcement Response Specialist to join the Law Enforcement Operations team!
What you’ll do:
Accurately review, index, and process various types of legal requests from US and non-US law enforcement
Drive successful projects and tooling initiatives
Review team members’ work product and provide feedback as a core part of the role
Participate in on-call rotation for law enforcement emergency requests and internal escalations, which requires working atypical weekday hours and some weekend days each month
Lead internal training sessions on an as-needed basis
Enhance our operational workflows via process and policy improvements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately analyze lengthy legal documents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with minimal oversight
Ability to organize and prioritize assignments effectively
Willingness to travel and participate in testimony appearances on behalf of Snap
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or job related equivalent experience in lieu of degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working directly with law enforcement in a professional setting
Previous experience reviewing sensitive content (e.g. in a moderation-related role)
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the company

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $58,000-$87,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
